It also appears that if a Cox customer wants to self-install, then Cox does not charge an installation fee. It appears that certain Cox product offerings waive installation fees, while other Cox product offerings include an installation fee. Cox’s March 2023 Product and Pricing Guide in San Diego, CA and Phoenix, AZ state that a Cox customer may incur a $100.00 for the Internet Pro Connect or $100.00 for the Internet Panoramic Wifi Pro Connect. Promotional products may or may not include an installation fee. The product a customer orders from Cox will dictate whether an installation fee is charged to a Cox customer. Concurrent speed tests on multiple devices can reach a total of 2 Gbps.” Cox’s website includes the following statements: “2 Gig is only available in certain areas of the Cox footprint served by fiber to the premises technologies” and “Cox-provided routers/gateways cannot support a download speed of more than 940 Mbps per individual device. Receiving symmetrical speeds from Cox depends on the Cox service area and the product a Cox customer purchases. Cox’s customers may or may not receive symmetrical speeds.
